Prize raffle helps support the Veterinary Benevolent Fund Charity

Nutravet are pleased to announce the winner of the prize raffle that we undertook at the London Vet show in aid of the Veterinary Benevolent Fund Charity. The winner, pictured here receiving the prize was David Bentley from Bell, Brown & Bentley vets in Leicester.

The Veterinary Benevolent Fund provides financial support for vets and their dependants. At the moment the Veterinary Benevolent Fund is helping about 130 people (beneficiaries and their dependants). All applications are dealt with in strict confidence and with the utmost discretion. Remember that VBF is the profession’s own charity and is entirely devoted to vets helping their colleagues and families in need. You do not have to be a supporter to qualify for their help.

A big thank you to all that took part and help raise money for such a good cause.

Nutravet launches Nutracys+

Due to the success of our existing ‘Nutracys for cats’ product we are proud to announce the release of Nutracys+.

Nutracys+ has been developed to help manage the common problem of Feline Cystitis and has the added benefit of helping to reduce stress and anxiety through the inclusion of L-Tryptophan, whilst also containing N-Acetyl D-Glucosamine and Quercetin to further aid healthy urinary tract function.

Reducing stress and anxiety is considered to be very beneficial in the management of Feline Cystitis in cats.

The key ingredients in Nutracys+ are:

  • N-Acetyl D Glucosamine offers support to the bladder lining acting as a natural barrier to protect the underlying urinary tract layers.
  • Quercetin moderates the pro-inflammatory cascade and recent studies have shown Quercetin to be particularly beneficial in supporting urinary tract function.
  • L-Tryptophan naturally calms the cat by reducing stress and anxiety levels.

The launch of Nutracys+ continues Nutravet’s successful development of market leading products that are available exclusively through veterinary practices.

For more information on Nutracys+ or if you would like one of our reps to contact you to discuss how Nutracys+ can improve your existing range please get in touch click here.

UK Australian Cattle Dog Club get support from Nutravet

Nutravet recently donated raffle prizes to the 2nd UK Australian cattle dog agility fun day, held in September this year.

Vicki Cook from Mount Road Vets Manchester commented: “Many thanks for your donation in support of our dog agility fun day for the UK Australian Cattle Dog Club. Your kind support enabled the club to buy raffle prizes to be won on the day. It was a lovely sunny day, with a great atmosphere of excited dogs and owners. For some this was the first time of trying agility, we had an excellent instructor, demonstrating how to do each piece of the course. Everyone could have a go. There was a good range of raffle prizes to be won, from dog toys, to bottles of wine. Everyone came away with big smiles, also out of breath from running around the field.”

The photo is of Mirrhi the Australian cattle dog, compliments of the photographer Tasha Herbert.

Thank you once again.

Nutravet sponsors Cartmel Cricket Club

Nutravet are delighted to be named as the main sponsors of Cartmel Cricket Club from 2012 onwards.

Cartmel Cricket Club is situated in the picturesque village of Cartmel in the Lake District. We hope our sponsorship will help to preserve and promote local sport within a small English village.

The club was established in 1852 and is situated in the centre of the famous Cartmel Racecourse in the picturesque village of Cartmel, in South Lake District.

‘All of us at Cartmel Cricket Club were delighted when Nutravet told us they would like to be our main sponsor from 2012 onwards. The club is run entirely by volunteers but we still have constant outgoings, rent, league fees, ground equipment expenses, etc., which are met by fund raising, subscription, and of course sponsorship. We also invest in the future of the club, we run 2 or 3 junior sides, with our under 16s currently third in the league.”
Jeremy Voakes, Chairman, Cartmel Cricket Club.
